An automatic switching apparatus with a power switch cuts the alternating voltage of the network when no current is being consumed, applying instead a direct voltage to the partial network. When a power consumer is then turned on in the partial network, an indtensity of current is generated by the driving voltage, measured and used by the apparatus to connect the partial network to the network voltage. If the intensity of the current flowing through the network falls below a determined value, a sign that the last power consumer has been turned off, the partial network is again isolated from the network voltage. As switching-on driving voltage a direct current of at least 80, preferably 100 volts is used. |
