PURPOSE:To reduce the removal of the filler active substance of an electrode plate in the use of repeating the charge and discharge of the battery by providing engraved holes penetrating through a filler layer at the center of the active substance surface filled in the holes surrounded by the grid-form frames of a grid base. CONSTITUTION:At the centers of the active substance 2 filler surfaces filled to holes surrounded by grid-form frames 1a of a porous base 1, engraved holes 3 penetrating the filler layer are provided. As a result, the expansion of the filler active substance 2 is absorbed to the holes 3, and when the filler active substance is contracted, the holes 3 are expanded, while the contractions of the filler active substance 2 and the surrounding grid-form frames 1a are reduced. Consequently, the separation of the filler substance 2 and the frames 1a is reduced maintaining a close adhesion, and the removal of the filler active substance 2 in the service repeating the charge and discharge of the battery is reduced. |
