VPA 86 P 1533 US Apparatus for protecting electrical lines in a distributor of a telecommunication installation and connectable to a laminate module of the distributor is equipped with arresters as parallel elements and fuses as series elements. A pole of each fuse which is adjacent to an arrester is electrically connected to a non-grounded pole of the arrester. The arresters are provided with melt-pieces which melt when overheated. Spring fingers of a multiple grounding sheet lie against the other poles of the arresters. The spring fingers project beyond the arresters and above the free ends of contact parts for each fuse. Upon melting of the melt-piece, a corresponding spring finger is connected to a respective fuse contact part.
