PURPOSE:To provide a disk reproducing device which reduces an access time to a CD-ROM medium and reduces an access time while being rewritable. CONSTITUTION:A disk 1 is a CD-ROM or an MO medium. For the MO medium, an address region is provided for every prescribed angular interval and a data region is provided between address regions. In the address region, address data are recorded by prepits. The disk 1 is rotated at a constant angular speed for a recording and a reproducing under the control of a rotary servo circuit 4. During the reproducing of a CD-ROM, a decoding process is performed by a decoder 75. During the reproducing of a CD-MO, a decoder 76 performs the decoding processes. The decoder 75 facilitates the interleave processes over three sectors and the decoder 76 facilitates the interleave processes within one sector. During CD-MO recording, an encoder 12 facilitates the interleave processes within one sector. |
