Optical interconnection system

The system includes a predetermined number of circuits (C1-C16) to be interconnected. Each circuit includes an optical transmitter (E1-E16) and at least one optical receiver (R1-R16). The transmitter on a circuit board transmits a wavelength appropriate to the circuit concerned. An optical coupler (CE) connects the transmitter of each circuit to all the receivers of the other circuits. Each circuit has identifying address information. The value of the address information is applied to the card transmitter to adjust the optical transmission wavelength of the transmitter.
