PURPOSE: To speedily and effectively clean a sampling chamber, and introduce calibration solution to a sensing part in the sampling chamber without contaminating reference electrode charged solution or the calibration solution. CONSTITUTION: A second passage 212 is provided to form a one-way valve to combine liquid sample in a passage 45 between a first sampling chamber 47 and a reference electrode chamber 47A, the liquid sample is let to flow from the first sampling chamber 47 to the reference chamber 47A as the second passage keeps fluid other than the liquid sample, potentials of both are measured, the liquid sample is pushed to flow by supplying cleaning fluid inversel to a first passage as the second passage is maintained, it is then let to flow into the first sampling chamber 47 from the second passage 212 without passing the reference electrode chamber 47A, and finally, calibration fluid is inversely supplied from the first sampling chamber 47 to the reference chamber 47A, where calibration potentials of both are measured. |
