PURPOSE:To obtain the subject formula feed using laver powder as additive, improved in the growth and physiological condition of cultured fishes, with waste laver utilized. CONSTITUTION:This formula feed to be given to fish fry during its raising stage is prepared by adding at least 1wt.% of laver powder to a mixture of a natural feed and artificial feed. The laver powder, which has been discarded so far, is prepared by grinding low-grade laver as a byproduct during laver processing stage. This formula feed has the following advantages: improving fish fry growth owing to the promotion of protein assimilation; improving the lipid metabolism in fish fry during culture; raising the energy preservation and mobilizing ability for stored lipid, and also the resistance to stressors and hepatic function in fish fry during culture. |
