<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having an option mounting function which can suppress cost by reducing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: In order to obtain a copying device by installing an image reader 10 above the main body 1 of the image forming apparatus, support members 11 of an extension paper ejecting tray 2 are constituted of main body parts 12 constituting openings 9 for inserting supporting legs 8 of the tray 2 and receiving parts 13 which are provided by being extended to upper parts of the parts 12. The receiving parts 13 are used as guide shaped parts 14 at the time of installing the image reader 10 by forming inner side edges of the receiving parts 13 into slope shapes. Even when the position of the image reader 10 is deviated at the time of lowering the reader 10 when mounting the reader 10 on the apparatus, the reader 10 can be mounted on the apparatus with a normal posture by being guided correctly by the guide shaped parts 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
