<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device capable of stably transmitting power by avoiding the occurrence of the shifting of a belt, a unit, and an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: This power transmission device comprises a rotating body, a drive pulley 1 rotatably driven by the motor 4, a driven pulley 2 integrally rotating with the rotating body, a flat belt 3 transmitting power from the drive pulley 1 to the driven pulley 2, and front and rear side plates 6 and 7 rotatably pivoting both rotating shafts 1a and 2a of the drive pulley 1 and the driven pulley 2. A plurality of reference pins 12 and 13 for positioning the front and rear side plates 6 and 7 when the front and rear side plates 6 and 7 are fitted to each other are installed parallel with each other on the flat plane including the rotating shafts 1a and 2a.
