<p>PURPOSE: To provide a structure of penetrating through a car body with excellent assembly workability so as to permit easy, accurate installation of a wire harness through grommets in an assembling field to a car body. CONSTITUTION: This structure comprises a car body panel 1 having an opening 2 for inserting a wire harness 3, a protector 5 which covers the opening 2 and forms a tunnel portion communicating with the opening 2 through a car body panel 1, and a grommet 8 made of an elastic material pierced by through-hole 9 for the wire harness 3. A notch 10 coming to the through-hole 9 is provided in the grommet 8 so as to open and close the through-hole 9, and the grommet 8 is inserted in the tunnel portion, where the protector 5 is attached to the car body panel 1 in a detachable manner. The through-hole 9 is opened and the wire harness 3 is inserted from its opening to the through-hole, and the grommet 8 can be attached to the wire harness 3 by closing the opening.</p> |
