OIL-DRAWING JIG FOR OIL-FILLED CABLE AND DRAWING METHOD

PURPOSE: To enable execution of desired oil drawing without disjointing a connector, by a method wherein a cap-shaped main body of an oil-drawing jig which can be fitted on the connector of an OF cable is equipped with an oil- drawing port and a set screw and further it is made possible to push in an oil-retaining nipple of the connector by an operation of screwing in the set screw. CONSTITUTION: The main body part of an oil-drawing jig 8 is shaped like a cap and an oil-drawing port 10 is provided in the side wall of a tube part thereof. It is made possible to screw a set screw 9 into the cap part in the axial direction from outside. When oil is drawn, a cap nut 3 tightening an oil-retaining nipple 4 of a connector 2 of an OF cable connecting box l is loosened by one rotation and the cap-shaped oil-drawing jig is fitted to this connector 2. Then, the oil-retaining nipple 4 of the connector 2 is pushed in by the set screw 9 provided for the jig and the oil drawing is executed. According to this constitution, desired oil drawing can be executed without disjointing the connector 2.
