PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain Li-Mn oxide in an industrially advantageous manner in a high yield by heating an Li compd. and an Mn compd. in the presence of Li sulfate or Li borate as a flux and then removing the flux by washing. SOLUTION: An Li compd. and an Mn compd. are heated in the presence of at least one of Li sulfate and Li borate as a flux and then the flux is removed by washing to obtain the objective Li-Mn oxide. The Li compd. is preferably carbonate, hydrogencarbonate, hydroxide or oxide. The Mn compd. is preferably carbonate, oxyhydroxide, hydroxide, oxide hydrate or sulfate. The compds. are mixed so that the molar ratio of Li:Mn is regulated to 1:(0.2-5), preferably 1:(0.5-2). The heating temp. is >=800 deg.C, preferably 900-1,100 deg.C. |
