PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate setting of document format information suited for any selected sheet of unknown size to be set on a printing means and the printing means by providing a document creation means with a format setting function for preparing document format information in accordance with information relative to set sheet size on a document creation device. SOLUTION: An input device 1 generates a signal on sets of information such as document information, bit map (graphic) information, document format information and information relative to process function indication and a series of process, execution and cancellation indications for creating document data, based on the operation by an operator. A display device 2 displays, under the control of a total control device 3, a document format page, a page for selecting a method for creating document format information, document data information in the process of creation and a page for indicating a process function. A main storage device 4 consists of read-write-possible semiconductor memory and also areas such as document format information storage, character data storage, bit map data storage and printer sheet set information storage. |
