The mats consist of serrated or flat tensile- and lateral bars (2,3) with clamping sleeves (6). The ends of the tensile bars are attached to a system with the clamping sleeves. A tensionally safe rigid or flexible clamping sleeve connection is formed by the design of a sleeve having kinks (22). The sleeves have a diameter calculated so that when it is kinked by a gripping clamp, pleats are formed which positively engage with the ends (7) of the tensile bars.
