摘要 PURPOSE:To maintain the purity and momentum of a first gas and to additionally increase the thickness at which a work piece can be cut by installing a second nozzle hole outward in a radial direction of a first nozzle hole. CONSTITUTION:The first gas introduced to include the optical path of a laser beam by a laser beam processing head 11 is injected from a first nozzle 58 and a second gas or flame is injected from the second nozzle hole 68 disposed outward in the radial direction of the first nozzle hole 62. Cutting of the work piece having the larger thickness is easily executed by utilizing oxidation reaction heat when oxygen is used for the first and second gases and if the work piece is an iron material, such as mild steel. The first and second gases are inert gases, for example, gases, such as nitrogen, argon or air, by which the oxidation of the work piece is prevented and processing such as cutting is facilitated. The first nozzle hole 62 is so composed that the entire circumference thereof is enclosed with the second nozzle hole 68. The purity and momentum of the first nozzle are thus maintained and the removal of dross is accelerated.
