PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize an active pixel by dividing a plurality of pixels into a plurality of groups to recognize an active group, and reading the size of a data signal on each pixel in the group. SOLUTION: A sensor module 11 with sixteen groups of arrays 12 of thirty- two pixels comprises an integrating circuit (ASIC) and a discriminating circuit for special purpose on each of sixteen groups. The pixels in each group are supplied to a multiple input discriminator to lead out composite signals supplied to a corresponding data line in a data bus 15. The levels of the composite signals are led out of all the pixels, and if any one of the pixels in the group is active, the level is made H, otherwise made L. One active group is thus discriminated from the remaining inactive groups, so that the place of the active pixel can be efficiently restricted. |
