PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the service life of a flexible cable of a connector. SOLUTION: This connector comprises a main body part 6 for holding a plurality of terminal members 5 each of which is constituted of a lead 2 to be connected with a substrate in one end and a contact 4 to be connected with a flexible cable 3 in the other end and a slider part 8 which is installed in the main body part 6 in a manner that the slider part 8 can freely slide up and down in the main body part 6 and pressure-connects the contacts 4 with contact parts 7 of the flexible cable 3 by elasically deforming the terminal members 5 by the up and down sliding operation. In the slider part 8, housing recessed parts 10 having inclined wall faces 9 to pressure-connect the contacts 4 with the flexible cable 3 by pushing the back sides of the contacts 4 of respective terminal members 5 following the downward sliding operation are formed for housing the contacts 4 of the respective terminal members 5. |
