PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce small plant bodies, having a genetically homogeneous state, of an arboreous plant by culturing a tissue of the arboreous plant in a specific medium under specific conditions. SOLUTION: These small plant bodies are produced by transplanting a tissue of an arboreous plant preferably of Acasia, Coffea or Garcinia into a sugar free medium, and culturing by using carbon dioxide under illumination. Here, the culturing is carried out preferably at the concentration of carbon dioxide of 350-500 μmol/mol in the culturing vessel, and under the illumination at a photon flux density effective for photosynthesis of 150-300 μmol/m<2> /s. |
