<p>A voice recording system for storing data from a two-way conversation, the system includes a microphone (160), a speaker (150), an audio device (102), an audio transmission controller (106), a storage device (110) and a switching circuit (108). The audio transmission controller has an input (120) and an output coupled to the audio device and an input (128) coupled to the microphone and an output (122) coupled to the speaker. The audio transmission controller provides a transmit detect signal, a receive detect signal and an idle detect signal in response to audio transmissions received at the audio transmission controller. The switching circuit is configured to store in the storage device only an active side of the conversation in response to the receive detect signal, the transmit detect signal and the idle detect signal.</p> |
