PURPOSE: An operation method of a refrigerating cycle for a heat pump air conditioner is provided to make the operation of a compressor smooth by making oil discharged from the compressor and taken into a cycle flow into the compressor quickly. CONSTITUTION: An operation method of a refrigerating cycle for a heat pump air conditioner comprises a step of operating by an air-conditioning mode to make oil of a compressor flow into an outdoor heat exchanger for predetermined time by operating a four-way valve when the outdoor temperature becomes set temperature of making the viscosity of oil filled in the compressor high, in starting heating operation, and a step of operating by a heating mode by operating the four-way valve after predetermined time. The refrigerating cycle comprises the compressor, the four-way valve, the outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion mechanism, and an indoor heat exchanger.
