<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which notifies an administrator of access to setting information. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit 160 of the printer 10 determines whether or not to notice the administrator of a performed change of setting, in accordance with the setting to be notified which is prerecorded in a storage device 158 (step 108).
