PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skirt rubber for belt conveyor hardly broken or torn even by the contact of a carrying matter and never causing a local wear part in a conveyor belt. SOLUTION: This skirt rubber for belt conveyor is formed of a rigid rubber layer 1 provided on the carrying matter side, a soft rubber layer 2 provided on the contact surface side with a belt conveyor of the rigid rubber layer 1, and a cloth 3 consisting of a 6, 6-nylon canvas of twill modified weave between the rigid rubber layer 1 and the soft rubber layer 2.
