PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify a magnet device so that disturbance behavior of a magnet device is corrected to be optimum taking diamagnetism of a superconductor into consideration by a simplest means. SOLUTION: In a superconducting magnet device, magnetic field in the z direction in a working volume produced by these additional current paths during operation and due to induced currents does not exceed a magnitude of 0.1 Tesla. The magnet coil and the current path are designed so that a valueβ(mathematical expression X) is different larger than 0.1 from a valueβ0 (mathematical expression Y) which is to be obtained whenα=0 when an additional disturbance coil generates a substantially homogeneous disturbance field in the magnet volume. As a result, it is possible to modify a conventional magnet device to optimize disturbance behavior of a magnet device by a simple means taking diamagnetism of a superconductor into consideration. |
