PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid consumption state detector wherein a detection control circuit is efficiently constituted in an ink cartridge provided with a plurality of piezoelectric elements. SOLUTION: The liquid consumption state detector is equipped with a vibration part at least partially exposed to a housing space for housing a liquid and vibratory with respect to the housing space and a piezoelectric element capable of vibrating the vibration part on the basis of a drive signal and generating a back electromotive force signal by the vibration of the vibration part. Liquid consumption state detection parts 1200 and 1210 detect a liquid consumption state on the basis of the back electromotive force from the piezoelectric element. Switches SWA-SWC for continuity are connected to a plurality of the respective piezoelectric elements. The liquid consumption state detection parts are provided in common with respect to a plurality of the piezoelectric elements. |
