<p>A method is described for acquiring seismic data while removing, or tripping, a drill string from a wellbore. The method comprises, conveying an autonomous seismic receiver down a fluid passage in the drill string to a predetermined location proximate a lower end of the drill string; generating signals by a seismic source near a surface location; detecting the seismic signals with at least one sensor in the seismic receiver at least one predetermined location of interest in the wellbore as the drill string is removed frown the wellbore; and storing the detected seismic signals in the seismic receiver.</p> |
