ADHESION ACCELERATOR BETWEEN RUBBER AND METAL, ITS MANUFACTURING PROCESS, AND RUBBER COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel adhesion accelerator which improves the adhesive strength between a metal, especially steel cord, and a rubber more than that of conventional cobalt-based adhesion accelerators, and to provide a rubber composition formulated with it. SOLUTION: The adhesion accelerator between a rubber and a metal comprises a reaction product obtained by adding a borate into a mixture of a carboxylate of molybdenum and a carboxylate of a divalent metal and subjecting the mixture to reaction. Alternatively, it comprises a reaction product obtained by subjecting a mixture of molybdenum carboxylate and a divalent metal borate to reaction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
