PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber pigtail in which adhesion of foreign matters existing between an anti-reflection film and the end face of the top end of an optical fiber is little in the optical fiber pigtail in which the anti-reflection film is formed at the top end of the optical fiber where the coating part of the optical fiber is removed. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber pigtail in which the anti-reflection film is formed at the top end of the optical fiber where the coating part of the optical fiber is removed, the diameter of each of foreign matters existing between the anti-reflection film and the core of the end face of the top end of the optical fiber is made to be≤0.5μm and the number of pieces of the foreign matters is made to be≤4.
