PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing cyclododecene from cyclododecatriene through a partial hydrogenation reaction without needing an additive which is inevitable in a conventional homogeneous ruthenium (II) complex catalyst, and further at reactivity higher than that of a conventional catalyst. SOLUTION: The object of the present invention is achieved by using a new ruthenium (II) complex shown by the general formula (1) as a catalyst in a method for manufacturing cyclododecene through performing a partial hydrogenation reaction by allowing cyclododecatriene to come into contact with hydrogen. |
