A data input/output apparatus is provided to realize three data output apparatuses using the number of pins required for one parallel output apparatus, thereby significantly decreasing the number of necessary pins. The first photo unit(501) sets a data input/output apparatus in a serial type or a parallel type according to a register set value. The second photo unit(502) and the third photo unit(503) are activated or inactivated according to the type set by the first photo unit(501). A photo mapper(504) performs rearranging and mapping of signals according to the register set values of the first to the third photo units(501,502,503), and allots the number of pins to be used to the first to the third photo units(501,502,503).
