A dual type air bag device for a seat belt of a vehicle is provided to protect an occupant from injury by protecting the chest part and the abdominal part of the occupant in the case of vehicle collision. A dual type air bag device for a seat belt of a vehicle includes a webbing(1,1') and an air bag unit(4) having a housing(6), an inflator and an air bag cushion. The inflator is fixed within the space of the housing where no webbing passes such that the passage of the webbing is not obstructed by the inflator. The air bag cushion is divided into an air bag cushion part which has a length for covering the chest part of a passenger and inflates along the webbing(1) and an air bag cushion part which has a length for covering the waist part of the passenger and inflates along the webbing(1'). A control line for connecting an air bag control unit and the inflator and sending an ignition signal is connected to the inflator from the air bag control unit along the webbing(1).
