<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a recording mark capable of surely obtaining a preferable reproduced signal quality while suppressing the number of recording parameters used. <P>SOLUTION: A recording parameter setting device includes a trial recording parameter setting unit 23 and a reproduced signal quality judging unit 26. The trial parameter setting unit 23 sets a trial recording parameter by inquiring a storage unit 3 containing recording parameters classified according to the recording mark length and classified into the same group if the recording mark length is equal to or above a predetermined recording mark length and used to control heat of at least a rear edge, according to recording information. The reproduced signal quality judging unit 26 judges whether a reproduced signal obtained by reproducing the trial recording performed according to the trial recording parameter satisfies a predetermined reproduced signal quality. If no, the recording parameters having lengths equal to or above the predetermined recording mark length are further classified into detailed groups and trial recording is performed again. If the reproduced signal satisfies the predetermined reproduced signal quality, the reproduced signal quality judging unit 26 sets the trial recording parameters as a recording parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
