The coffin or urn has a foil layer covering a part of an upper surface and serving as a surface design, where the coffin or urn is made of a thermoplastic ductile composite material with a portion of 70 weight percent of natural substances in the composite material. Natural substances such as lignin and cellulose, are contained in the composite material. A molded part made of the composite material is manufactured by an extrusion and a cup. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a coffin or urn.
