PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for adding information such as an advertisement in which an advertiser can at least partially charge photograph print costs and in which information to be added is not inserted into an image but is disposed outside the image.

SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an information adding apparatus which adds information such as an advertisement to a photographed image, comprising: a detection means for detecting attitude information corresponding to whether the image is photographed in a longitudinally camera holding state or in a laterally holding state; and a control means for determining layout to array the image and the information on the basis of the attitude information.
