A dishwasher and a control method thereof are provided to check response sensitivity through a response sensitivity setting mode selecting part and to display basic response sensitivity on a response sensitivity display part when the response sensitivity setting mode selecting part is touched, thereby preventing unwanted operation of the dishwasher and increasing convenience of a user. A dishwasher comprises a controller(300), an input part(320), a load driving part, a display part driving part(330), a memory part(360), and a response sensitivity setting part(350). The input part is provided to an input side of the controller. The load driving part, which is provided to an output side of the controller, drives the load. The display part driving part, which is provided to the output side of the controller, drives a display part(310) of the dishwasher. The memory part provides programs and data to the controller. The response sensitivity setting part sets response sensitivity with respect to an input signal generated at the input part. The display part includes an operating state display part and a response sensitivity display part(311). The response sensitivity setting part includes a response sensitivity setting mode selecting part(351), a response sensitivity adjusting part(352), and a response sensitivity storing command part(353). A user checks response sensitivity through the response sensitivity setting mode selecting part. The response sensitivity display part displays basic response sensitivity on the response sensitivity display part when the response sensitivity setting mode selecting part is touched.
