Thixotropic sludge thickening involves carrying out microwave irradiation of the sludge before mechanical sedimentation. Non-thixotrope, but badly separable sludge is irradiated by micro waves for better separation of material mixture. Solid liquid mixture, whose separation is technologically necessary, is irradiated temporarily by microwaves for conditioning before the separation process.
