Producing a relief structure on the surface of a support comprises contacting two reagents in an area defined by the contours of the relief structure so that the reagents react to form a foam structure. An independent claim is also included for a laminate for carrying out the above process, comprising a support layer (2), a first reactant layer (3) and a second reactant layer (4), where the two reactant layers form a polymer foam when they react.
