A cooling system for a power electronic device. The cooling system comprises an air conditioner set, a coolant pump (31), a bypass throttle element (32), and a cooler. The coolant pump (31) takes liquid from a first condenser (13) of the air conditioner set; the liquid coolant throttled by means of the bypass throttle element (32) enters the cooler; a power electronic device is cooled by the low-temperature coolant at the cooler; and after flowing out of the cooler, the coolant enters an evaporator (11) of the air conditioner set, so as to complete a cooling cycle. The cooling system for the power electronic device has a good cooling effect and a high cooling efficiency, has a small device size, and produces low noise; the power electronic device can be located in a sealed environment, so that dust effect is avoided, the interior is clean, and the operation life is long.
