PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic expandable helmet that can be transformed by a wearer between a retracted state and a deployed state, where the helmet inhibits deterioration in stiffness of the helmet in the deployed state caused by the helmet being retractable.SOLUTION: A helmet 400 is provided with a connection mechanism 440 having a longitudinal component 450, a plurality of female parts 480 and a plurality of male parts 490. Thereby, in the deployed state of the helmet 400, a plurality of segments 20, 22, 24 and 26 constituting the helmet 400 are each locked to prevent relative displacement between those segments; on the other hand, in the retracted state of the helmet 400, at least one of the plurality of segments 20, 22, 24 and 26 is released to allow relative displacement between those segments.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15 |
