PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle rotary electrical machinery, capable of properly determining a cause of a load dump, and performing a control suitable for each cause.SOLUTION: A vehicle rotary electrical machinery comprises: a field magnet winding 14; an armature winding 11 generating an AC voltage; a rectification circuit 15A of which a lower arm is structured by a lower switch 51, and rectifiers the AC voltage; a power generator control device 17 that adjusts an exciting current; and a control circuit 54 that controls on/off of the lower switch 51. The control circuit 54 switches the lower switch 51 to an on state when an output voltage of the rectification circuit 15A exceeds a threshold value V1 for determining the generation of a load dump, and thereafter, turns off the lower switch 51 for a predetermined of time. The control circuit 54 detects a state where the output voltage becomes smaller than a threshold value V3 as a falling state after the lower switch 51 is switched to the on state during outputting the electric power to be generated from the rectification circuit 15A, detects a falling time as a duration time, and sets a length of an off time in accordance with the falling time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
