Disclosed are a method and apparatus for establishing a network service instance. The method comprises: receiving a network service instantiation request from a network management system (NMS); determining a network service descriptor for instantiating a network service; generating an instance of the network service and allocating a network service instance identifier to the generated network service instance; and conducting network service instantiation according to the determined network service descriptor and the allocated network service instance identifier. |
