In the case of a fabric spreader of a finishing machine, having an encircling chain and a multiplicity of needle carriages which are provided with needles oriented in an upright manner, the free ends of which point upwards, and having an entrainer which extends so as to act in an entraining manner between a needle carriage and the chain, such that the needle carriage is driven by the chain and is carried along in circulation by the chain, wherein the needle carriage is movable relative to the chain in the longitudinal direction of the chain in that the position of the entrainer relative to the chain and/or to the needle carriage is variable, and wherein rollers are provided on the needle carriage, which support the needle carriage on a guide rail with respect to tensile and tilting forces that act on said needle carriage, the invention proposes that the rollers that support the needle carriage with respect to tilting forces are each mounted so as to be rotatable about a horizontal axis. |
