PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can form a high resolution image on a transfer film while suppressing cost increase.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus forms an image by moving an ink ribbon having ink layers of plural colors and a transfer film 21 in a pressure contact manner between a platen roller and a thermal head contacting/separating from the platen roller and transferring ink of each color of the ink ribbon to transfer frames of the transfer film 21 in an overlapped manner. The transfer frames are repeatedly formed in the band direction and arranged side by side in the band direction by being sectioned with a frame mark 21d having the lower light transmissivity than that of other portions. The image formation apparatus comprises: a line sensor 25 which is arranged in such a posture as to cross in the width direction an end 21d3 in the width direction of the transfer film 21 of the frame mark 21d; and a control part which adjusts the position in the width direction of the image formed on the transfer frame on the basis of light reception information output from the line sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
