<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) being utilizable for regenerative medical techniques from a placenta tissue and readily available compared with a bone marrow cell as a cell preparation. <P>SOLUTION: The cell preparation is obtained by culturing the placenta tissue, collecting MSC in which a matrix metalloprotease (MMP) is highly developed and suspending the MMP in a physiological saline. Since the MSC in which the MMP is highly developed is excellent in differentiation ability compared with MSC in which development of MMP is low or MSC derived from bone marrow which has been known hitherto, the MSC is effectively utilized for regeneration for treating or repairing deficiency of a muscle tissue including cardiac muscle, a bone tissue including cartilage, a fat tissue or an organ such as liver, pancreas or kidney or a nerve tissue. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
