The present invention provides a rotating electric machine and an electric power steering device that are capable of enhancing the rigidity of a stator by coupling the tips of adjoining teeth by a magnetic material, and reducing vibration and noise. The rotating electric machine according to the present invention is provided with coupled core sheets that have coupling sections coupling the tips of adjoining teeth sections formed as a result of a plurality of core sheets protruding in the circumferential direction from a flange section. The shape of a tooth tip of at least one of the coupled core sheets is formed in a mirror asymmetrical shape relative to a teeth center axis that passes through the center of the teeth sections in the circumferential direction. A stator core is formed by stacking the coupled core sheets such that the respective positions of the coupling sections in the circumferential direction are shifted.
