<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission power control apparatus capable of being applied to even a mobile communication system wherein transmission is performed at an interval shorter than a timing interval for revising a transmission power value and performing bias control. <P>SOLUTION: An amount of change in a bias control signal corresponding to transmission power control information before and after the control information is updated is obtained, when the amount of change is less than a threshold value, a bias generating section 3 is selected, the bias control signal corresponding to the transmission power control information is given to the bias generating section 3 and a gain control signal is given to a variable gain amplifier 2, a gain control signal is given to a variable gain amplifier 2, when the amount of change is the threshold value or over, an amount of change in a bias voltage on the basis of the bias control signal and a DC voltage of a DC power supply 4 is calculated, a gain correction value is calculated by using the amount of change and added to the gain control signal, the DC power supply 4 is selected further, the DC voltage is given to a power amplifier 1, and further the bias control signal is given to the bias generating section 3 and the gain control signal is given to the variable gain amplifier 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
