PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device of providing a vehicle surrounding view image capable of providing a driver with information on an extended road region.SOLUTION: A method of providing a vehicle surrounding view image comprises: generating a virtual viewpoint image of a current vehicle on the basis of at least one surrounding view image on which a surrounding region of the current vehicle is captured; receiving, from another vehicle, a virtual viewpoint image of the another vehicle; generating an extended virtual viewpoint image on the basis of the virtual viewpoint image of the current vehicle and the virtual viewpoint image of the another vehicle; and outputting the extended virtual viewpoint image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
