PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating dimensions in an indoor scene.SOLUTION: After acquiring a depth image 101 of a scene acquired by a sensor 102, a plane is extracted from the depth image to thereby calculate the dimensions in the scene. Phase relationship 111 in the plane is calculated and the dimensions are calculated based on the plane and phase relationship. The quality of the dimensions is evaluated using a scene type (130). When the quality is satisfactory (140), the dimensions are output (105).
