PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display that has improved afterimage characteristics and reliability, and a manufacturing method of the same.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display according to the present invention comprises: a first substrate; a second substrate that is arranged opposite to the first substrate; an alignment film that is located on at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate; a liquid crystal layer that is located between the first substrate and the second substrate and includes a reactive mesogen; and projections that are located adjacent to the surface of the alignment film. The alignment film includes a principal chain and a plurality of lateral chains connected to the principal chain, and the lateral chains include a polymerization inhibitor group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
