PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor compressor capable of relaxing stress to be imparted to a stator core while suppressing a deterioration in the cooling performance of a coil.SOLUTION: A motor compressor 10 includes a rotary shaft, a compression part 13 for compressing refrigerant with the rotation of the rotary shaft, and an electric motor 14 for rotating the rotary shaft. The electric motor 14 includes a stator 62 having a cylindrical stator core 63 and a coil 64 wound on the stator core 63, the stator core 63 being fitted into a suction housing 21. Herein, the suction housing 21 includes a first groove 81 recessed from an inner peripheral face 21c and extending in an axial direction Z of the rotary shaft. The first groove 81 has a first partial groove 91 opposed to an outer peripheral face 63a of the stator core 63 in a radial direction R of the rotary shaft, and a second partial groove 92 deeper than the first partial groove 91.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
