PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an elevator capable of restricting swings of main ropes employing 2:1 roping in a lateral direction and of suppressing vibration transmitted to the main ropes.SOLUTION: An elevator comprises a plurality of main ropes 8 suspending a car 5 and a counterweight 6 in a hoist way 2 with 2:1 roping. A roller support body 31 is coupled to the car 5. The roller support body 31 is supported by first guide rails 3a and 3b in a liftable manner. A plurality of rollers are supported by the roller support body 31. The plurality of rollers restrict swings of the plurality of main ropes 8 in a lateral direction of the hoist way 2 by being brought into contact with the main ropes 8 guided above the car 5 from a first sheave 20 in a rotatable manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
